Kumar Sanu and Akshay Kumar’s association began with Sainik in the year 1993. Kumar Sanu sung three songs for Khiladi Kumar in the film which was not a super hit, but Kumar Sanu’s vocals gelled well with Akshay Kumar.
Churake Dil Mera from the movie Main Khiladi Tu Anari (1994) was one of the best songs that Kumar Sanu crooned for Akshay Kumar. Kumar Sanu further lent his voice to Akshay in movies like Khiladi (1992), Amaanat (1994), Andaaz (2003), Aarzoo (1999) and many more. However the voice of the veteran singer became quite repetitive and Kumar Sanu could no longer sustain the competition.
Sanu was then replaced by Udit Narayan and he crooned for him in movies like Dil Toh Pagal Hai(1997), Ajnabee (2001) and Beewafaa (2005). At present, Kumar Sanu hardly records one song per year. His last song was Dard Karaara from Dum Laga Ke Haisha last year. The singer now does a lot of live shows.
Udit Nayaran and Aamir Khan:

Who can forget Aamir Khan holding his guitar and singing Papa Kehte Hain in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988).Udit Narayan sang for Aamir in films like Dil (1990), Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992), Rangeela (1995) Baazi (1995)Ghulam (1998), Dil Chahta Hai (2001)and many more.
Udit Narayan then went on to become the voice of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. However, his voice suited the best on Aamir. With time, Sonu Nigam stepped in Udit Narayan’s shoes. He crooned songs like Aal Izz Well from 3 Idiots (2009) and also went on to croon a couple of songs for Aamir in PK (2014).
Composers like Jatin Lalit also opted for new singers. Shaan also sung Chand Sifarish for Aamir in Fanaa (2006). As time passed, Aamir started becoming very picky about his on-screen voice and started opting for gen-next singers. Udit Narayan now sings three or four Bollywood tracks in a year. He last sung Joganiya from the film Jai Gangaajal early this year. Most of the times, the singer sings for regional films.
Abhijeet Bhattacharya and Shahrukh Khan:

Singer Abhijeet who has been in the news for all the wrong reasons and has rubbed King Khan the wrong way, has also sung some beautiful melodies for him. Songs like Tauba Tumhare Yeh Ishare from Chalte Chalte (2003), Aur Kya from Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani (2000), Main Koi Aisa Geet Gaoon from Yes Boss (1997), Hum Toh Deewane from Baadshah (1999) and many more. However Abhijeet could not keep the pace and faded away with time.
Eventually he even went on to declare that he will not sing for SRK anymore. This didn’t go down well with King Khan and he was shunned permanently from singing for him.
Singers like Sonu Nigam replaced him in films like Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna (2006), Don (2006), Rab Ne Bana De Jodi (2008) and many more. Like Kumar Sanu, Abhijeet too does a lot of live gigs.

S. P. Balasubrahmanyam and Salman Khan had many famous songs like the title track of Hum Apke Hai Kaun...! (1994), Mere Rag Mein Rangnewali from Maine Pyaar Kiya (1989), Bahut Pyaar Karte Hain from Saajan (1991).
The illustrious singer’s playful vocals complemented Salman and thus became the identity of the actor. However, Salman started being very choosy about the singers who would render their vocals for him. We all know his recent brawl with Arijit Singh, which made headlines.
Shaan and Saif Ali Khan:

Shaan and Saif’s association commenced from Dil Chahta Hai (2001) where the singer crooned a couple of songs for the actor. Shaan sung for Saif in movies like Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein (2001), Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Hum Tum (2004), Salaam Namaste (2005), Ta Ra Rum Pum (2007) and many more.
Shaan was also in the forefront for industry’s fight for royalties. This fight was against music label T-Series. Because of this fight, many singers including Sonu and Shaan lost out on work. He was replaced by Neeraj Shridhar and Arijit Singh. The singer now sings three or four songs per year. However, after the issue got sorted the singer also teamed up with T-Series for a single. The singer had last sung Chaar Kadam for Sushant Singh Rajput in PK (2014). He also composes songs and like his contemporaries, performs live.
